The Finance Department is responsible for receiving, accounting for, and investing all city revenue, processing payments to the city’s vendors and processing payroll for city employees.   The Finance Department prepares a Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) and has been awarded the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting each year since our first CAFR was prepared in 2004.  The Finance Department has also been awarded the Auditor of State Award of Distinction for excellence in financial reporting and accountability each year since 2012.  The City has been rated “AAA” by Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services.
