Current & Upcoming Projects
With many infrastructure improvements planned in Grandview Heights, we want to you updated with information on the impacts you may experience in your daily routines. We appreciate your patience as crews work to complete the following projects:
2021 Street Program
Strawser Paving Company has started work on the annual City paving program. This work entails curb/gutter repair, asphalt milling, paving and alley reconstruction. Work has begun on Glenn Ave., Second Ave., Virginia Ave. and Edgehill Rd. with curb/gutter replacement and repair with controlled traffic and parking.
Milling of Glenn Ave., 2nd Ave. and Virginia Ave.is to be done on Tuesday, June 8, with paving to follow until complete. If you are a resident who lives in one of the areas scheduled to be paved and have questions, please call Corey Strawser at (614) 276-5273.
Dublin Rd. Paving
Dublin Rd. is scheduled for paving from Grandview Ave. to the Franklin County Engineer's Office in July. Traffic will be maintained but lanes may be temporarily shifted throughout the week.
Third Ave. Water Line
The Third Ave. water line project will eliminate of dead-end water mains to the north for Oxley Rd., Holly Ave., Parkway Dr., Norton Ave., and Dover Ave. We are nearing completion and the project is awaiting final chlorination and testing.
On Goodale Blvd., construction of new structures is underway across from the Grandview Yard. Currently underground utilities including water, electric, gas, sanitary, and storm sewers are being added and/or relocated to accommodate the new and further existing services.
This also includes the extension of Bobcat Ave., Yard St. and Swan St. with eventual extension to Twin Rivers Dr.
Columbia Gas Line Upgrades
Phase 1 of the Columbia Gas Project is progressing between Goodale Blvd. and Burr Ave. The mainline has been installed and pressurized. Service line tie-ins are scheduled to begin Monday, May 10, anticipate Palmer Road to be closed in this area. Road closures will be posted as the install crews move eastward to Northwest Blvd. over the next several weeks.
Elmwood Avenue Gas Line Upgrades
The Columbia Gas Elmwood Ave. gas line project involving lowering and installing new mainline will continue with road closure anticipated through Friday, May 14 for this portion. Road repair is to be completed Monday, May 17.
Elmwood Ave. is also included in the 2021 Street Program and will include a water main upgrade starting May 27 with road closed except for local traffic. Followed by the installation of sidewalk and a retaining wall on the east side of the roadway.
Currently all projects are in progress. As they are completed, updates will be moved to this section.
