in the summer.
Columbia Gas is installing the new natural gas line for the shelter house. Other work on the shelter is primarily focused right now on the extension on the east end of the building; the concrete block walls are virtually complete. Work has begun and will continue in the next few days to install the exterior finishes of board and batten siding and cultured stone on the new walls, and roof trusses will begin going up over this new section of the shelter this week as well. This new section will house a small “kitchenette” area and new accessible restrooms.
The irrigation system for the east side multi-purpose field is virtually complete, awaiting only final details to be ironed-out with Columbus City Water for our new and relocated water line. Once water is available for the irrigation system (2-3 weeks estimate), the new multi-use field will be seeded, and the turf establishment for this new field will begin. We estimate that the field will be opened to public use late spring or early summer 2015.
