in first (under a shade structure) will each have a slide coming off of them and going down the small hillside to the lower level. In addition to the actual equipment now going in, excavation continues around the perimeter of the playground areas (including the area where the swing set will be installed to the west of the boulders)so that concrete curbs can be framed-in and poured to contain the rubber product that will ultimately constitute the playground’s safety surfacing.
Inside the shelter house, electrical work and drywall finishing continue. We are awaiting both cedar siding for the interior walls and the glass and cedar sliding doors, which we expect in the next couple of weeks. On the exterior of the shelter, a painter is beginning to put a finish coat on the board and batten siding. The new water service to the park - that will feed both the shelter and the irrigation system on the new field to the east - should be operational by the end of the month.
