[ARCHIVED] Wyman Woods Construction Update for September 3rd 2014

The cedar and glass sliding doors are expected to be delivered next week, and will replace the existing garage doors. Work will be underway Friday (9/5) and Monday (9/8) to install a new water tap and water line to the shelter; this work will require the walking path along Goodale to be closed for those 2 days, although it is expected that it will be re-opened for the weekend before being closed again Monday.

The deck system on the playground is virtually complete, and all but one climbing boulder is placed. The swing set will be installed soon, followed by the poured-in-place rubber surfacing. The naturalized stream bed, which will aid in draining the hillsides off of the northwest corner of the parking lot, has been completed. Other site work expected to be done soon includes installing light poles and fixtures around the park and some cut stone installations.

The contractor, Jess Construction, has recently indicated that they are several days behind. Although some work may not occur until later in October, we are still working to provide an October ribbon-cutting ceremony. We hope to be able to announce in the next couple of weeks when that grand opening will be.
