[ARCHIVED] Wyman Woods Construction Update for October 17, 2014

Only minor detailing remains to be done inside of the shelter house, now that the new cedar and glass entry doors and interior plank siding, as well as all plumbing and electrical fixtures, have been installed. Some painting touch-up continues, and clean-up is underway as the grand-re-opening approaches.

In the park, the pathways, shelter house apron, and new turn-around and extended parking lot are being paved, work that is expected to be completed by Saturday, October 18th. Once paving is complete, in the final week before our ceremony, the poured-in-place rubber playground surfacing can be completed on the lower level, as well as final grading and seeding of areas adjacent to paving.

With the renovations to the shelter, we are anticipating an extended use season, from April 1st to December 31st each year. We will let the community know (and hope to have more information regarding this at the ceremony on 10/25) as soon as we have a green light from the contractor and the occupancy permit, we will take reservations for the remainder of 2014. 2015 reservations will continue to be taken after the first of the New Year as we have always done.
